I agree with LG...''Live Dead'' is a great album, the shows off the jamin' side of the Grateful Dead, and also shows what the band sounded like in 1969. Also agree that ''American Beauty'' is the perfect studio album to start with -- that and ''Workingman's Dead''. But, people sound known that ''American Beauty'' is on the country rock side of things. (Grateful Dead's sound, changed for year to year, decade to decade)

And ''Dead Set'' too...another fine double live album from 1981, I believe.

I highly recommend this DVD for people who want to experience a mid 70's Grateful Dead concert.
I never seen the Grateful Dead in the 70's and I love it this film - it's classic.
