Just one? Impossible task but I'll take a stab at it for shits and grins:

bowie-I'll see your 'life on mars' and raise you 'A Space Oddity'

ac/dc-Hmmm, tough one. Live version of 'Whole Lotta Rosie' maybe..... 'Walk all Over You'? I don't know about this one.

van halen-eruption Yeah, probably the one I'd pick.

ufo-Like two different bands to me and I'm not exactly sure which one I like better so I'll pick songs from both. From the early years either 'Timothy', 'Treacle People' or the live version of 'Prince Kajuko Returns'. From the Schenker years either the live version of 'Rock Bottom' or maybe 'You Don't Fool Me'.

genesis-Return of The Giant Hogweed or Music Box

aerosmith-Adam's Apple

rolling stones-Paint it Black or As Tears Go By

sex pistols-God Save the Queen

hendrix- Love or Confusion

deep purple-One More Rainy Day

judas priest-Dreamer Deciever

motorhead-Ace of Spades

pink floyd-Let There be More Light or the live version of Astronomy Domine

the sweet-Sweet Fa....maybe

I think it was opened to all artists but I just got lazy and cherry picked his list.

Mine were well just the most mainstream off-the-top-of-my-head favorite songs.

Oh good, let me have a stab at this one:
Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Night (yeah, I know it's Leadbelly and really just a Cobain solo thing but.....

Scorpions - Sails of Cheron

Soundgarden - Outshined? I really need to listen to this band more to form an educated opinion.

Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen

U2 - Wire

Alice In Chains - Right Turn or Would

STP - Interstate Love Song....maybe

Pearl Jam - Release Me or maybe that tortured sounding song on a later album

Foo Fighters - I don't know the name of my favorite song by them but I like the band quite a bit.

David Bowie - A Space Oddity or Suffreget City

Nine Inch Nails - ? can't remember the song by them I like

Neil Young - Cinnamon Girl...maybe

Beatles - Within You Without You

Jack White - ? something by The White Stripes but the song name eludes me.
