I have to admit, I do like this version. I play DJ for weddings, stag & does, etc and I have played this version many, many times....
Same here. Well, I don't DJ weddings and parties anymore, but I did for the better part of almost 20 years. I played that song at a LOT of wedding receptions.

My absolute favorite of all time, bar none. I love that the chemistry between these two is palpable just by listening to them. This is the acoustic version and is a lot more heartfelt and intense than the other in my opinion.

here's another great older Oak Ridge Boys track that is VERY near and dear to my heart

Oak Ridge Boys - Dream On

The slideshow is anime and when I first found this video yrs ago, I thought
"WTF?", but the song is so cool and the anime slideshow actually seems to fit
it. I dunno, I do love this track though.

That's definitely a good track, they sound good together no matter what they do. Of course, there's the once overplayed duet they did about 10-15 yrs ago that has been played at probably every single wedding reception I ever DJ'd at (and every one that I didn't DJ at  )

^^^ Nothing wrong with that song Lynchie. Definitely a country ballad classic. :)

Some George Strait appreciation:

Carried Away

Carrying Your Love With Me

Martina McBride... I really love that touch of class Jim Brickman added to this song. One of the best. :)

Another guy that had a great voice and had a good way of telling/singing country ballads was Vince Gill. One of my faves by Vince was:

Tryin' To Get Over You

I love Vince Gill's voice. Great ballad, too :)

Another one who has some decent ballads is Rascal Flatts.
