Favorite 70's Band/Song

I can't possibly pick a single 70's band as my favorite, but I'll offer one that nobody has posted yet.

Blue Oyster Cult, rather than a single song get a copy of "Secret Treaties" and listen to it closely a few times, one of the most unique bands in rock music and very undervalued.

Why thank you for the suggestion, and please don't interpret my original post as that i listen exclusively to those bands and i only know one song by other bands, i know some Blue Oyster Cult, but not that album inparticular.
If you don't mind Grendel i'd like your opinion on an album, seeing as your well known around the boards for your knowledge, i thought i'd ask you. What do you think of Odyssey and Oracle by The Zombies? I just picked it up recently and i loved it after side 1.

I am no expert on the Zombies Rockyraccoon, but I do have Odyssey & Oracle and it's a very good record, haven't listened to it for ages though. Might have to dig it out and listen to it again now that you've jogged my memory.

Yeah, i only knew Time of The Season when i picked it up, but that album really grabbed me, kind of like Electric Warrior by T.Rex a few months back

Why?: Hypnotic, grandiose and it captures the band at their creative best.

Favourite 70s band - Ac/dc obviously. Favourite band of all time.
Favourite song - Down Payment Blues for sure.
