Partial to the John Arch era more so but can't go wrong with Ray Adler's debut on 'No Exit' along side 'Parallels' either.

Listening to Awaken The Guardian at the moment.

This track has possibly the most incredible intro ever. Not too many songs start with a blistering solo.

The best part of the CD era is I can keep hitting the back button and replay that opening. I effed up the cassette doing the same thing.

Most fans I know think Spectre Within is their best album. I love it to death, especially side 2. I love the album's early Metal Blade type of sound. That being said, I think Awaken The Guardian is a better album in almost every way possible. For me, it is the very definition of progressive metal.

The current line-up is supposed to begin recording a new album late this year. I wouldn't mind a new album from the original line-up.

The new album Theories of Flight is pretty good.

I don't want to use the cliché "a return to form", because this band is always solid, but I'm enjoying "Theories of Flight" a lot more than their previous one "Darkness in a Different Light".
