Very happy to see Clapton isn't on the list.

I didn't know there was a top 50. I just saw the top ten. Clapton at 28, I can live with that.

I know a lot of people really groove on him, but I just never got it. I mean, he's good, but I don't think he's that good.

His style seems so...practiced & rehearsed. Like he's working on his guitar like it's a tool apart from him instead of a part of him.

Anyway, that's how I hear it.

I heard about this when it got to the final round just a few days ago. When I heard it was EVH vs Brian May, I just kinda thought I remember when it first started, seems like it was a couple of years ago.



May is a nice guitarist and probably underrated in some circles, but #2 of all time?

I don't see anything wrong with it. You will find these names at the top of about 90% of the top guitarists lists out there. It's a pretty standard list, maybe except for Brian May. He's usually a bit lower on these sort of things.
