Download Festival 2011

^^ It's the old Donnington Monsters Of Rock Lynch. I think it changed from a single day event and the name may have changed with it for the newer computer savvy generation.

I'll take "Donnington Monsters Of Rock" over Download festival any day of the week Sox...

Why would they change something that even us barbarians over here know about and envy you lot for having is beyond my comprehension.

Each year goes by and when I see who the lineup at Download is I pine to go next year but a couple thousand miles kind of inhibit that.

I guess the people that matter thought it was time for a change and maybe bag a younger audience, generate a bigger gate, I don't really know.

^^I wouldn't mind them changing things up to keep more folks interested Sox, but "Download"...has no panache' to it at all.

Just my own opinion, besides I grew up listening to a lot of "Donnington" live performances, so I'm hidebound and admit it.

It was great to hear bands say "Donnington" and not Download

^^ That's what matters, David Coverdale screamed "Make some f**kin' noise Donnington" two years ago if memory serves.
