Glad you had a good time Sweaty. I can't say I've been there but seen the 2009 festival via internet. OMG... talk about a packed house. I can only imagine a concert of that magnitude can be compared to A DAY ON THE GREEN here in the states. How many peeps showed up those days Sweaty... any clue on ball park figures?

Out of your list... the only group I seen was Cheap Trick... they can still Rock!

Here's one of the songs by Journey I enjoyed watching ('99 DL Feastival). They rocked this and the new dude Arnel was solid.

I agree, I was there for Journey in 2009 and he did do a great job. I believe there were about 100,000 people through the doors then, this year I am not so sure but loads left on Sunday because of the rain.

^^ It's the old Donnington Monsters Of Rock Lynch. I think it changed from a single day event and the name may have changed with it for the newer computer savvy generation.

Ahh yes, I remember Donnington quite well while growing up. I was always jealous of the Monsters of Rock thing you Brits got every year as we never had ANYTHING like that here in Minnesota.

I'm not too sure Lynch but I think Ritchie Blackmore had a lot to do with setting up the original MOR at Donnington race track back in 1980.
