Onetime back in the early 1980s in second-hand record shops around London you could find dozens of original vinyl copies of the Concerto album languishing in the 'bargin basement' bins, not that many hard rock or Deep Purple fans bothered going near that album.
Most original Deep Purple fans from the early 1970s (in the UK) usually gave the Concerto album a miss preferring to start there Deep Purple record collections with the albums DEEP PURPLE IN ROCK (1970) then picking up FIREBALL (1971), MACHINE HEAD (1972) and finally MADE IN JAPAN (1972).
