How about a thread on classical music used in rock songs whether note for note or "based on" and whether snippets or an entire piece.

The intro to Diamond Head's Am I Evil? is based on Gustav Holst's The Planets Opus 32 Mars The Bringer of War. I hear what was used only in about the first minute or so then later on the bit used by Diamond Head is briefly repeated again ...

Featuring from around 3.43 a slightly altered Nocturne In E-Flat Major, Op.9 No.2 by Chopin.
