Classic 60's Song, Female Singer

Trying to find a song....60's band (if not very early 70's but I think 60's) with a female singer...black hair...song kinda sounds like She's Not There by the Zombies...has that feel. It's a one hit wonder and is still played on the radio from time to time...there was a promotional color film for the song...I've seen it
