Chicago and the Doobie Brothers will return to the road together this summer for another round of co-headlining dates.
The summer shows, which are currently scheduled to begin in early June and run through the end of July, mark the latest in a series of joint tours between the bands, which are among a growing list of veteran acts that have teamed up for package outings in recent years. ““The perfect summer line-up, playing dozens of the best-loved rockin’ pop classics,” enthused Chicago co-founder Robert Lamm. “I’m happy to be hangin’ out with our ‘Doobie’ friends … a great band.”
“We know from past experience what a great show this is going to be for the audience,” added Doobies co-founder Patrick Simmons. “I’m sure there will be some fun musical surprises along the way too. It’s going to be a great summer.”
The co-headlining shows will come in the midst of a typically busy schedule for both bands. The Doobie Brothers are scheduled to travel to Australia, New Zealand and Japan during the spring, while Chicago are booked for a run of U.S. performances in February and March.
