Brian made some of greatest pop music ever. Unfortunately, he peaked early and drugs ruined what might have been his best effort (Smile).

If there's a definitive book on the history of Rock and Roll with maybe 100 chapters, then Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys deserve a chapter all by themselves. That being said: Greatest Musical Genius? Nah, but that's a matter of opinion. He certainly was a genius at taking what was in his head and tranforming it to music
