Well they will be here shortly and most likely the last time anyone in these parts will get a chance to see them.

For the longest time I didn't know what a 'scouse' was so I read up on it.:D

As far as I know the poor folk in the Manchester area survived by eating a fish stew, which was called by it's Scandinavian name, Scouse...if I'm in error one of you lot from the neighbourhood can correct me.:grinthumb

Scouse is a name for people from Liverpool, Bruce. It's a bit like Cockney for those born in the East End of London, Geordie from Tyne Side and Brummie from Birmingham.

^^Damn you are right I meant Liverpool, it's the Mancunians that use "scouser" as a term of derision for Liverpulians.:bonk:

People from Manchester are Mancunian or manc.

I don't think Liverpudlians mind the term. The problems come with regional boundaries, for example, Scouses have to be from Merseyside (on the river Mersey), Cockneys within the sound of Bow Bells and Geordies on the river Tyne. They consider people outside the boundary as foreigners, even if they have a similar accent!
