I honestly would have a tough time differentiating between Ozzy on the new album and Ozzy on a mid-70s Sabbath album. I thought he matched the old sound perfectly. But then I'm not a diehard Sabbath fan by any stretch and I'm probably just not familiar with the nuances.

Yeah which is fair enough. For whatever reason I just pick up Ozzy on this album very similar to what he was on Scream which was a shit album. His vocals on 13 were better but still kinda threw me a little.

I saw Sabbath last night and they were excellent as usual, there was a couple of wobbles by Ozzy on a couple of tracks but hey he is getting on a little. Other than some idiot standing up in front of me so I could not see all the time it was a great night. Why can't they sit down when there is a chair there or buy a standing ticket, pissed off a bloke behind me as he struggled to see too, made us have to stand up for ages.

I'd much rather sit comfortably at a concert than have to stand, especially now that I'm officially an old fart.:D

Sabbath will be here soon, they've been promoting the concert the last couple weeks here and in Calgary.

Sweaty glad you enjoyed the show but sorry about the inconvenience, wasn't Sox with you??

There are all kinds of electronics you can use to get the best sound possible at a concert but when the lead singer can't hit or sustain the notes he used to there is no hiding it. That would be my biggest worry seeing Ozzy these days. But it's a celebration tour, most likely a farewell so it's an event for the ages not just a regular concert.

^^Well that's a shame,,,but priorities are there for a reason. Maybe Sabbath will tour again, at least in your part of the world chances are good you might get a shot at seeing them before they retire.

I watched them at Donington last year and enjoyed the show, maybe if they come round again I'll make one.
