Yeah those 2 songs are killer. Sabotage has been panned by a lot of people too though, dunno why, Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die are both worse. Ozzy said himself Never Say Die is a pile of shit. Wouldn't say shit but it is pretty poor.

Yeah SABOTAGE usually gets 'unfairly panned' by everyone but i guess cos it followed SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH a great Sabbath album.

I read that Tony called TECHNICAL ECSTASY his 'solo album'. I like the album especially the tracks BACK STREET KIDS, ROCK & ROLL DOCTOR & DIRTY WOMEN as well as most of the other tracks on it.

The NEVER SAY DIE album is ok although i personally like (the old vinyl side-1) the tracks being-

NEVER SAY DIE, JUNIOR'S EYES, JOHNNY BLADE & HARD ROAD as the best tracks on it.

I love the Ozzy era Sabbath, classic, however Dio was also good with his own style, Dehumanizer is a classic Dio album IMO :)

Yeah when it comes to the 'Dio era' Sabbath i like DEHUMANIZER as well and also the HEAVEN & HELL album.

The MOB RULES album is ok but i always preferred the HEAVEN & HELL album although the track THE SIGN OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS off of MOB RULES is a good number but i haven't heard those albums for over 10 years or more?.

Yes and No Riff Raff??. :wtf:

If you (or anyone else) listens to TECHNICAL ECSTASY & NEVER SAY DIE as just 'hard rock' albums they sound f******g great!.

But if you (or anyone else) listens to those 2-albums as BLACK SABBATH albums then you mite be disappointed thats why a number of Sabbath fan's don't like those 2-albums.

For me those 2 Sabbath albums are just poor. Not shithouse but they are far from good.
As hard rock albums I still don't like them.

With TECHNICAL ECSTASY in particular Tony Iommi was trying to boarden Black Sabbath's appeal to reach a wider audience and move away from the previous albums heavy rock/metal formula but of course Sabbath fan's didn't want it but to be honest i actually like TECHNICAL ECSTASY it's filled with lots of good heavy rock tracks.

Listen to the album with 'open ears' metal fan's it's really a great listen. :grinthumb

My ears are open and I dislike those albums.
Ill never get into them, they are just not for me, more power to those who do like those albums. I have tried numerous times to like Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die, it won't click for me, Ill stick to the albums I do like.

I've tired my 'best shots' Riff Raff but i've failed on you. :omg:

Your typical of most Sabbath fan's when it comes to those 2-albums but TECHNICAL ECSTASY & NEVER SAY DIE are part of the Black Sabbath discography and always will be so they're ALWAYS be part of the 'mighty' BLACK SABBATH story forever more. :D

They are part of the Sabbath discography but the part I choose to not go back to. :D
I prefer even Forbidden to those 2 albums.
As for completely ruling those albums out of my library, for now yes. Ill stick with the Dio albums and the first 6 Ozzy. They are all the albums I need to obsess over lol
