There were some GREAT albums that came out in 1984. I can't narrow down a one single favorite (yet), but I'll list off a few of my faves....

Same as me, I can't decide which album is the best. Lots and lots of good albums released in 1984. Here are my favourites.

Rush- Grace Under Pressure. The return of Alex Lifesons guitar......only to disappear again for a few records. Kid Gloves, Between the Wheels and Distant Early Warning are very good Rush songs.

Yes - and he released another one in 1994. "Street Talk" is a classic in the AOR genre...and a major reason for the tensions building to a critical level within Journey during the mid-80s. Perry decided to record a solo album partly to get back at Neal Schon who had been working with Sammy Hagar and Jan Hammer. And the revenge was sweet...."Street Talk" was a massive commercial success. Those were the days....

And childish. Schon's solo work was far from what Journey was and a healthy creative outlet for him. Raised On Radio was the worst Journey record with Perry on it and he had the reigns, kicking Steve Smith and Ross Valory out of the band. Brilliant! I do love the melodies on Street Talk. Sang along with that one on many occasions.
