Well I started with Whatever and Ever Amen and it got me hooked but both are the two major ones before Ben went solo!

It's great when you come back to a thread. I've always said that unless it's REALLY special to someone right away...or someone is in the right frame of mind from that first moment...no one hears new music, or old music new to them, the same as they would the second or third time.

In this case...I'm loving everthing from the second batch of songs as opposed to the first alot more. That's not saying that I don't enjoy the first half...but perhaps my heart is in the right place tonight for the second section.

So I picked up a copy of Whatever and Ever Amen and I think it's GREAT!

My favorites on this CD are

Steven's Last Night In Town
Missing The War
Evaporated

But I enjoy them all!!

Cool picks! You have a good mix of the somber ballads and the uptempo tracks! How do you like Song For The Dumped? That and the song about the angry dwarfs are ridiculously fun!

I love the opening track from Whatever and Ever Amen, but to me, Ben Folds Five first album is unquestionably the most enjoyable for me! The raw drums, distorted bass and really fun and creative songwriting. Oh yeah, did I mention Ben Folds is a beast of a piano player?

MP - Philosophy is in my top twenty favorite tracks!!!

I've given Ben Folds a good listen now, through Rockin' The Suburbs and Supersunnyspeedgraphic and I'm rather impressed. The major surprise I had was his song "Adelaide". I was completely expecting it to be about the girl's name, but as soon as I heard "Silver balls" I knew it was a shout out to this little ol' town we live in



But so far my favourite song from him is Zak And Sara:

So I make mix CDs for people as Christmas presents and I made one for one of my friends and on it I included a certain Ben Folds song. Well it turns out that less than a week later she was fired from her job due to cutbacks (or something like that that that wasn't her fault) and now that I think about it I'm reeeeeeeeeeeally wishing I hadn't put this song on her CD.
