^^There is good music in every year I reckon, Nolo was right about the Punk/Disco/New Wave invasion changing things, the older 70's bands receded into the background and the new arrivals were in the spotlight. But there are still gems to be found in the 80's as well.

Yeah, that's never a good thing, IMO. The Brit bands ( Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep etc. ) were FAR superior to their mostly inferior Yankee counterparts, again IMO. To me American "adult" rock = radio friendly blah
