He WAS Easy Listening back in the 1970's... All accounts is that Manilow was also a cool guy. Loads of catchy pop tunes. "Daybreak" comes more to mind for me and "Just Another New Year's Eve" is another one.

He's actually a good songwriter in the vain of Neil Diamond!

To be fair, he's a poor man's Neil Diamond (which isn't necessarily such a bad thing).

We got this shock jock DJ in Chicago since the 70's...STEVE DAHL (famous for the '79 Disco Demolition) and he used to do parody songs.

He did one for Wally Phillips. Wally was another local talk morning man from another station.

He did it to OH MANDY and called it OH WALLY...sort of poking fun of his elderly female listeners
