Big AW fan since the first time I heard 'em in 1980. I grew up listening to First Glance, Harder Faster, Nature Of The Beast, and Power Play. About 4 years ago I decided to go back farther and look for the early stuff. I recently found a bunch of vinyl LP's for $1 each, most of the early stuff up to Power Play. I don't agree with most people that say they are hit-and-miss, I like everything they've done (70's to early 80's).

I was turned on to April Wine in 1980, and I rocked out constantly to First Glance, Harder Faster, Nature/Beast, and Power Play. Didnt care much for anything they did after that, although I liked some of the songs here and there. About 4 years ago I discovered their early 70's stuff and I like it alot, and recently acquired some very rare vinyl LP's of their first 4 albums. So I now have 10 vinyl LP's of AW.

Early & late April Wine is mostly inconsistent from album to album, but the triumvirate of First Glance, Harder Faster & Nature Of The Beast has gotta be one of the most impressive three album runs in hard rock...ever.

I fancy listening to some April Wine lately and i recall back around 1980 buying one of there singles that they had in the top 10 or 20 UK singles charts but i can't recall the name of it?.

I think that the single may have been a track from the Nature of the beast album and i recall liking it, it was around the sametime that Rainbow had there All night long single in the UK singles charts as well?.

Anyone have any ideas?.
