I think CD quality is about the same as digital download, maybe just a tad better. When it come down to it, the ones who buy cds are usually people who want their music to be tangible and like to collect their favorites. I personally love to buy cds for the visual aspect, having a place to pile my collection so i can flip through one day and rediscover past purchases. Plus its usually cheaper to buy albums from the 90s at a few dollars or less than individual songs that cost 99 cents each. also if i bought an ipod or its derivatives and it broke along with my comp, i would be screwed financially twice, as well as deprived of my favs had i not just bought the cd itself
