ANGEL DUST:
are a German heavy metal band. Initially active from 1984 to 1990 as a speed and thrash metal band, they dropped their thrash roots in favor of a power/progressive metal sound upon reforming in 1998. And while Into the Dark Past and To Dust You Will Decay are decent attempts at thrash metal Border of Reality is a huge step up ( a mix of both the Thrash of their past and Power Prog to come ) and from Bleed on they really start to come into their own. I have the first 2 on Vinyl and CDR ,Border of Reality ,Bleed ,Enlighten the Darkness and Of Human Bondage on CD but there seems to be some mystery as to whether or not Tales From Ashes and Dust has actually been released . I haven't found it yet if so...

Prog/Power says it all. Excellent stuff Wolf. Melodic, fast, heavy, progressive and fantastic vocals. All four tracks are prime but "When I Die" is epic with arrange of multi-instruments.

Yeah, I agree an outstanding band.
I just got Border of Reality a few days ago which is maybe why it isn't quite up there w/ the other three for me yet. Only listened to it twice so far but it is going in my stereo system right now :grinthumb

I'm currently dl'ing the Into The Dark Past album to get a feel for the band before I get into getting more of their work. I meant to do it sooner, but I still have a list of things I need to get to regarding music. I know I am going to dig this band a lot though.

Almost forgot about these guys, I now have 4 of their albums, just their later work when they shifted to a more melodic sound.
