Alvin wasn't "just" a great guitarist,...he was a great composer,...a great singer,...a great front man,...he did everything and did it really well,...to me there's no comparison, Alvin was the real deal,...probably the most underrated musician in the history of rock.

Alvin Lee put TYA on the map and Peter Green did so for The Mac , both masterfully turning Blues into Rock and Rock into Blues.
Green a real craftsman but he lost the plot later years, Alvin Lee one of the greatest guitarists of our time, underrated.
Green a times absolutely genius, Alvin Lee consistently awesome.

Peter Green gets my vote for sheer brilliance
