I was a big fan of Dr Who circa Tom Baker years
Interesting, I'm guessing 1980 was when the new Title Sequence began along with the New Score, which for some reason I just assumed started when Peter Davison took over as Doctor.

Anyhow, I'm a fan of the 2nd Doctor Patrick Troughton (1966-1969), when he began they were still using the original Title Sequence and Score from the Original Doctor (William Hartnell), due to him departing after the 2nd Story (The Tenth Planet) in Season 4, though within a few stories in The Title Sequence changed, though still playing the Original Score and when the Title Score changed it was to something like this:


Much of that BBC Radio Workshop Score though was still present and being used right through to the 4th Doctor, I always recall though Magical sounds during the start of the Opening Sequence for the 4th Doctor as the TARDIS moves towards you. :lmao:

I always loved the Ian Hunter band with Mick Ronson performing this.
