I don't know where you're getting American Idol from but I think Kesha is the right choice for this album. Since in Alice Cooper's world they only play bad dance music in hell I couldn't think of any more appropriate person to play the devil than Kesha.
I agree totally Cosmic & Yes Alice did perform on American Idol (W/Orianthi on guitar) but so did Brian May & Roger Taylor of Queen, Kiss, Iggy Pop, & last year even Judas Priest were on. I might not care for the popiness of American Idol but I think it's great that teens & others who watch Idol are exposed to these acts & end up buying their music.
...And getting back to Ke$ha a little over a year ago I caught her perform on a couple of TV shows. I never heard of her & I didn't really care for the music but I thought her performance was pretty wild with use of props & dance & my first thoughts were Alice Cooper or Kiss. She almost seemed drunk & from what I remember she had a glitter star makeup on her eye. Her music may have been a bit too poppy & mainstream but I really saw something in her. Alice has even said recently that he feels that there's a rockstar dying to come out of her but she's stuck doing her type of music. In the same magazine I was reading Ke$ha said she prefers listening to rock & that her next album will be like "Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, & all of the Cock Rockers from the 70's"
These are just my thoughts on the subject & I hold nothing against anyone's opinions on whether or not they hold this against purchasing the new Cooper album...hell, everyone's different with their views on music
