These are just my thoughts on the subject & I hold nothing against anyone's opinions on whether or not they hold this against purchasing the new Cooper album...hell, everyone's different with their views on music:cheers2

Yeah, I never really worry about other peoples opinions enough to take offense to them, so it's all good ( if they can dish it out and not take it however that is another story entirely ) :cheers2

I'm not saying that I WON'T break down and give it listen as I am a huge fan of Alice's 70s material and also like some of his later stuff , Raise your Fist and Yell, Brutal Planet etc. I even liked Dragontown, but I have to admit I'm not keen on all the old rockers giving props to cheesy pop music acts these days, their willingness to take part in homogenized mainstream "talent" shows etc ...but if it is a good album I would over look all that. TBH, the first single didn't do much for me ...also saw it preformed live on TV which didn't impress me much either. I'll probably breakdown and DL it to listen to it but I'll be quite honestly shocked if I end up thinking it good enough to buy ...but you never know.

Wolf, I love the new Cooper album & I feel if your a fan too you will like it ...but... this album is meant to be listened through its entirety. All the songs are in chronological order. I don't know if there are any individual anthems. It follows the pattern of Welcome to my Nightmare or Goes to Hell with a variety of music genres. The first 7 of 14 songs are really cool & sound great. After that you need to have a pretty open mind & an understanding of Coop's sense of humor (the ballad is nice, "When Hell Comes Home" with the original band has a cool heavy vibe to it, & the final track "The Underature" is a cool instrumental with pieces of the 2 Nightmare albums) so maybe 4 of the 14 songs would have an average fan say WTF! I love it all

It's funny You mentioned Raise Your Fist & Yell (that album does not get the credit it deserves)& Brutal Planet because other than Those 2 albums, this is my favorite Cooper album in the past 30 years.:cheers2

I'm open minded but an open mind isn't going to get me to like a style of music that grates on my nerves ie glitzy pop ballad dance music etc. is just not my thing. I really like the first WTMN and Some Folks and Steven are two of my favorite songs on there ( right behind Cold Ethel and The Black Widow ) so it's not like it has to be hard rock all the way through or anything but Kesha is another thing entirely.

You talked me into though, definitely gonna give it a listen.

The new album is great, I like all his albums, there are lots of different styles to please his fans, old and new. Can't wait to catch him again this year:)

I thought this was pretty cool...still not a fan of the HOF but in this case it's GREAT to see the original Alice Cooper (band) line up back together here!

Michael Bruce
Dennis Dunaway
Neal Smith

is the other guy Steve Hunter or is that Dick Wagner??
