Has to be this....

I was so pumped up for this release, it was a return of the genius of Jim Steinman but what this really turned out to be was a collection of songs that Jim had laying around since the 70s that weren't good enough to be on "Bat Out Of Hell","Dead Ringer",Bat Out Of Hell II" & "The Monster Is Loose",and they really scraped the bottom of the well for these, when you start a new album with "Who Needs The Young" you are in trouble, the album has no rock and roll on it,it sounds pretty much like a Broadway play gone wrong.

And oh Meat's voice is pretty much shot so he has a female singer singing the parts he can't hit anymore.

Interesting question.

I'm actually going to have to pick Mudcrutch's 2. It is actually one of my favorite albums of the year, but the first Mudcrutch album is damn near my favorite Petty album of all-time and I definitely don't think the 2nd one compares. Not nearly as much jamming as on the first one.

My other pick would be Tegan and Sara's Love You To Death. That is a highly mediocre album where their previous one was fantastic.
