Always thought Kiss was a joke....'nuff said on that.
Cheap Trick was a great power pop band in the early days at least for a few lps.
Van Halen had Eddie on guitar...other than that I was not a fan either.
Toto....never heard of them.
None of them deserve greatest American rock band.....probably not Aerosmith either.

Who would be your nominee for Greatest American Rock Band?

I'm not sure I have just one.....though for me a few that come to mind are CCR, the Allman Brothers Band, The Byrds, Santana, ....and that's based on my personal thoughts and liking of the music.
The Eagles also get mentioned as well as The Doors and even Steely Dan.
Ive seen The Beach Boys as no 1 on several lists....not rock enough for me but they certainly are popular and American.
