I guess you're right, but... for me, personally - it's the same, as if we'll decide to compare Motorhead and Air Supply... My look has been very subjective, 'cause I think, that Fats Domino (with all his undoubtedly services to rock and roll) sounded too smooth, with no sharpness, which was inherent to Little Richard, Chuck Berry or early Elvis. All in all - it's just my opinion.

About "Ain't that a Shame" - authorship is authorship, for sure, but I prefer John Lennon's and Cheap Trick's covers.
