I have to mention it again, some excellent albums everyone has posted in Sox's thread so far. It's nice to be in such distinguished company when it comes to great music from a decade that is derided by so many fans. I will never understand that attitude.

I am prepared for some stick after I post the next one, but I think at least 1/2 of this album meets my friends prerequisites, and seeing I am a huge fan of this band the other 1/2 of the album is fine with me as well.

Sandinista by the Mighty Clash! released in 1980.

When Ivan Meets G.I. Joe.

That is an excellent song Sox, I remember it was the 2nd song they played when they toured here after London Calling.

Joe Strummer with a Flaming Flourescent Green Mohawk, right away we knew we were in for a great show.

Another album that I both like and also enjoy! Although not every album does have great songs throughout, I've always liked many albums that have a good variety of styles, music and different influences. Imo, this is a nice Pearler! :)

Released in '82 from some of the outtakes during their career, Zep's last bash and a big favourite of mine.

^^I only recently picked up Coda on CD, and I never did have a vinyl copy Sox...I know many hard core Zep fans don't think much of it, but I'll have to play it a couple of times before I can offer any comments...intelligent or otherwise. :heheh:

^^That's true enough LG I know plenty of Zep die hards that struggle with this one, but I have enjoyed the album since getting hold of a copy in '84 it's a belter IMO.
