I disagree. One of my favorite Freddie Mercury compositions is still in the running.


Given what's left I'd say "You Take My Breath Away" is the weakest song.

Kind of odd that a Brian May tune would win this, when Freddie is the obviously better writer..IMO.

You know, I didn't participate in this one. Not being a fan of their real early stuff, I waited until I knew all the songs.

By that time, I couldn't cut any of them.

Glad about the winner, though.

I would prefer to see "We Are The Champions" as a winner, but "Prophet's Song" is very cool too - I really like formidable mood in this tune. -))

Of everything that could have one "We Are the Champion" would not have been high on my list. When it got down to the nitty gritty I was pulling for "Love Of My Life". "Prophet Song" is still a marvelous song though so I'm not upset.

I think it's really interesting that of everything it could have came down to though, two songs that are back to back on the same album ended up in the finals.
