In all honestly, this is nothing more than presumptuous, pompous garbage. I understand pauses and silences within music. But to have a "piece" that is nothing more than 100%, absolute nothing... well... it's not music, it's not art. It's pompous garbage. Hooray for those that love it though, I guess.

Yeah, that's pretty brutal stuff, to be honest if the Cage thing was 4 hours 33 minutes, rather than 4 minutes 33 seconds, I'm afraid to my ears it would still be more interesting than Beefheart.
