Yep, Magic, you hit the nail on the head.
Being "anal" again but Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble added Reese Wynans on Keyboards. Green Day added touring/studio lead guitarist Jason White. Nirvana, though I'm not sure if it was ever official, added Pat Smear as rhythm guitarist. So those acts didn't stay trios. Doesn't Grand Funk Railroad have more than the three members now?
