Adrenaline Mob gets my vote. Really good song, the album itself too was worth the money. Great to hear Portnoy on a drum kit again. Despite the ridiculous backlash he gets from prog purists I think it is great that he is doing different stuff.

I'll actually go with The Lion's Roar. I really like First Aid Kit! One of my many iTunes Song of the Week discoveries and that song is way better than Emmylou.

I kinda liked the First Aid Kit track ( kind of a Celtic folk ting to it ) and really liked the song by Meg Myers ...dark, passionate and interesting musical interplay ..going w/ Meg Myers..don't like AM at all though.


Gonna look into Meg Myers at youtube to see if the rest of her stuff impresses me or not.

Thanks for participating guys! I really like the different choices and some surprises here! Obviously being my picks I have a liking for all of them but my favorite pick would be Dry The River for the same reason Sunny said. I'm glad First Aid Kit went over as well as hey did. That's only their second album and I always felt they had a unique vibe vocally ever since I heard their first single "Hard Believer". DKW, I do have a Meg Myers thread in the 2010s thread. Thus far she only has a digital EP out!

Meg Myers has an impressive voice but the song is not up to the same standard. Still don't know if I like Adrenaline Mob, played the song a few times. I'll choose First Aid Kit because of the strong song and absolutely fantastic vocals.
