+ Ville Friman (Insomnium). He has a PhD in evolutionary ecology from the Helsinki University, where he is a Professor of Microbiology.
There's quite a few 9-11 rockers with Phd's, with some different names.
Then there's poor Tom Scholz, who only has an MA in mechanical engineering. If he'd spent less time tilting at corporate windmills and more time making albums and finishing his MIT studies, he'd really be somebody
