    Iggy Pop (Official Thread)

I'll probably pick this up next weekend. I know Record Theater has it & I try & go there every Saturday for their 20% off sale. I have a few of the songs off the I Wanna be Your Dog vinyl but I want it for the cover of Lonely Boy(Black Keys) which features Cream's Ginger Baker on drums. Thanks...

    Bruce Springsteen (Official Thread)

I really enjoyed that Bang a Gong/Route 66 cover(I never heard that).I actually like some of those artists (Greg Kihn, Marshall Crenshaw, John Eddie(whatever happened to him? I really liked the song Jungle Boy but that was the last I heard by him)) Anyway my favorite cover Bruce did...

    Kenny Wayne Shepherd

    The Adicts

If I wasn't having Cataract surgery on both eyes the past 2 weeks I definitely would have made the Cleveland show! I'm listening to these guys a lot since your previous review

    Best Led Zeppelin Album?

There are 2 albums I love all the way through by Zep & they are: Led Zeppelin & Led Zeppelin 2. The rest of the albums have plenty of songs I like but not the whole albums

Best Forgotten Bands of the 70's.

Circus...is the name of this band from the Cleveland area 1973. I never heard of them but last month Clevelanders the Paul Pope Band played Buffalo & they covered this song. I've been seeing the Paul Pope Band since 1979 & never once did they cover this song. Really good song though...

Best Forgotten Bands of the 70's.

Graham Parker is great. I had Sqeezing out Sparks after hearing Local Girls and liked the album a lot but over time and once cd's came out I kind of forgot the album but a few years back the wife and I went to see the movie This is 40 and in a way the movie evolved around Graham Parker who was...

    Record Store Day

That was Apollo Records...that guy actually was in ways similar to our friend from Zounds 2001 (I later found out) in that he could get you anything you were looking for. He got me a few Thunders videos and made up a Hodge podge video of different bands like Thunders, Hanoi Rocks, Chesterfield...

    Record Store Day

Exactly Mr. Jim! That's what I was trying to say. It's kind of sad Home of the Hits didn't hang on a little longer because I'm sure that place would have been mobbed on Record Store Day but once they seen digital downloads coming into the picture they got out

    Record Store Day

Actually I was only referring to the used vinyl which I said. I agree with new vinyl being expensive as it comes out(I would love to buy the Kiss remasters on Vinyl but the cost was way to high). The record store day releases may be a bit pricey as well but if something is too pricey I won't get...

    Record Store Day

Exactly! If anything Record Store Day does drum up business for the local Record stores that participate.

    Record Store Day

Sorry but I don't feel it's a marketing ploy as basically most of the releases are from small or independent labels in which the quantities of most releases are under 3000 copies. I haven't noticed the price of used vinyl going up...in fact at Hi-fidelity Records in Tonawanda, NY just last week...

    Great White (Official Thread)

I just found out Great White played in my area a couple of weeks ago! It sucks...no publicity...I had no idea they were coming otherwise I would went. I really love there first record especially their cover of the Who's "Substitute"

    KISS (Official Thread)

I seen Kiss several times and have so many DVD's & VHS tapes of them.... and I loved seeing them in the mid/late 80's /early 90's and watching shows from that era. I feel the band was tight with Bruce & Eric Carr and sounded great but I'll tell you I was in a real Kiss mode this Afternoon and...

    Record Store Day

Sorry to hear of your downer weekend Mr. Jim...Man, at the Record Store Day here at the Record Theatre with the live bands I can't help but think that we probably would've been there all day in the 80's when were in our youths!

    Record Store Day

Record Store Day was crazy here in Buffalo! I wrote out a list and of course I forgot it but the main thing I wanted was the Johnny Thunders at Max's record set. We found out that Record Theatre was opening at 9am & we got there at about 9:15. There was a line outside the door of at least 100...

    Record Store Day

I did notice the increase of vinyl at Barnes & Noble and while their CD selection is limited you can get some classic stuff for 5 dollars and it is one of the only places to get in decent Rock & Roll magazines. We still have a few decent Record/CD stores but when we're out towards a Barnes &...

    Record Store Day

Yep...that's probably the place Mr. Jim. I actually found a few things in there and even a Fems button. I'll let you know and thanks a million Mr. Jim...same goes this way if you can't find something

    Record Store Day

I agree that it has become annoying. I still do enjoy going to the record stores especially to see bands perform but it's a pain if there's something you're waiting for and you get there and it's gone. Last November there was a Record Store Day and I was hoping to find a Johnny Thunders ep but...

    Record Store Day

Yeah Mr. Jim...I'll also pick up the Dead Milkmen as that is my favorite album by them. Record Theatre at Main & Lafayette is going to have all of the food trucks there and Record Theater at UB has bands play all day as does this tiny Record Store off Elmwood called Scratch & Spin. Last year was...
