A few for now...
Rock & Roll by Zeppelin
I'm Going Home by Ten Years After
Funk #49 by The James Gang
Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry(along with all other similar intros by Chuck!)
Have you heard their After the Flood live album?
It's great because they played a prom or dance & they do covers like School's Out, To Sir With Love, Sexual Healing, & Rhinestone Cowboy along wit their own tunes
I just seen ZZ Top last night at the Tuesday Night Concerts at Artpark in Lewiston, NY & they put on a great show. It was a short set (11 songs) & they played about an hour & 15 minutes but for 10 bucks a ticket who could complain! I was amazed how many people in the crowd wore fake...
I wish I lived out there. I would like to see Greg Kihn as he released some good records back in the day but his stuff is tough to find on CD. I liked his Glass House Rock album which I bought back in the 70's because he covered the Yardbirds "For Your Love"(he also covered Gene Pitney's "Man...
^^^^^^This was released as a bootleg years ago & I was glad it was rereleased. The quality on the studio tunes are demo quality workings of the tunes so I wish he would've lived a bit longer so the album would have got a proper release with quality, better workings of the tunes, & maybe some...
^^^^ I always loved their take on the Riviera's hit...also worth checking out is the Dictators cover of California Sun.
While it may not be up to Ramones style I always loved this tune which was originally on the out of print soundtrack for "Get Crazy". If anyone wants to see an...
Sad news according to BOC's Official page:
ALLEN GLOVER LANIER 1946-2013
We have extremely sad news to report.
We’ve lost our friend and bandmate Allen Lanier.
Allen succumbed to complications from C.O.P.D.
He is survived by his wife Dory, sister Mary Anne and mother Martha...
I love Motorhead's version as well as their cover of Train Kept a Rollin' from the same album. To me this is Motorhead ...a bit sloppy & a bit grizzly but all in all it's fun rock & roll! This is what I expected it to sound like when I bought the record in the early 80's.
Tres Hombres definitely stands the test of time! I seen ZZ Top on their Deguello & Eliminator tours which were phenomenal & in 2 weeks I will see them again at the Tuesday Night Summer Concerts in our area where most shows are only 5 bucks but ZZ Top is 10 bucks. 10 bucks for ZZ Top is still...
I think I actually prefer their new album Million Miles More but both albums are decent. They seem to be having fun together and seem to play out a lot. I'm a huge Alice Cooper fan & a big fan of BOC so I enjoy the 2 albums but to each their own. I'm just glad to see Dennis Dunnaway releasing...
That sounds awesome & if you're a fan but not a freak over the Stones Hot Rocks is the way to go.
I may have mentioned it before someplace in the forum but the one thing I love about the Stones is how they keep releasing live albums from the past (& now this recent one). The new one is...
I seen that tour as well. I do enjoy the Blue Coupe project especially because of Dennis Dunnaway from Alice Cooper but I agree with you that they should iron out there differences. I get a bit pissed when you see members leave bands & then when they form something new but continue playing the...
Up until August 18th ITunes is selling the audio download from the Rolling Stones Hyde Park concert from this year. I just bought it today & it sounds great. It will be taken down after that date so if you're a fan grab it now
As I said when I seen Joan Live this past May she played 4 or 5 off of the new album but it was kind of funny because she would introduce the songs in a serious tones as they were about serious issues. I was expecting the songs to more so focus on the vocals & lyrics & maybe be a bit on the...
I agree LG...I'll take BOC over .38 Special any day but I figured at the outdoor venue's location & being mid-summer Southern Rockers would go over bigger(in the next few weeks Skynyrd & ZZ Top will be there) plus there are also usually an equal number of women at these shows & with tunes like...
I'm a huge fan of Joan Jett & just so you know on page 6 in the Punk section there is a thread for Joan Jett. I just seen her live in May & she played about 5 new songs from her new album which is coming out in October. If you pre order it on iTunes you get her new single right away.(I haven't...
Wow a bit disappointed seeing Blue Oyster Cult tonight in Lewiston, NY. First off...tough call but they opened for .38 Special. I wasn't too upset with it but I would argue to say that "Reaper" or "Burnin' for you" are more popular than the hits of .38 Special. Anyway, the sound for BOC was not...
I seen Nugent 2 years ago with St. Holmes & it was a phenomenal show. St. Holmes sounded great. I will probably get this because it seems to be close to the same set list I seen. I just looked up on Wiki & he has released 7 live albums so far(although Intensities in 10 Cities was all new...
