    Tori Amos (Official Thread)

New Tori album (Native Invader) on the horizon and new single! I love all Tori. I love newer Tori more moderately but this new Tori I love on a higher level than I have in a while. Thoughts from Tori fans? I agree on the sentiments that's it's closest to her style from Scarlets Walk which is a...

    Lana Del Rey

I have it ordered and on the way. I like all the singles but "Love" is particular is one of my favorites singles by her period. BTW, thanks for bumping the thread and making me work. This thread got butchered with dead links and was a bitch to clean! :wank::gig

Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) - R.I.P.

I think with the recent passing of Chester Bennington I have more of a moral question or a series of related ones. When someone, whether in the public eye or not, passes do we really need to give our opinion on whether we approve of how they passed? I've had mixed emotions myself on the topic...

    Bottom of the Barrel Teens

Dude, I'm glad you get to do this here! It's so much better than social media and I love the bio after every song. It sells me as I listen to each track and sometimes that's what you need if a genre isn't exactly your bag! My favorite one was "The Fifth Row Bac" but I was also...

:nw: Maybe the album is waiting for the right person to listen to it. You know the one that introduced you to the group and ordered first. :wa

    London Grammar (Official Thread)

What makes this thread relevant to post this year is the new album and how it's looming presence has been what I've been savoring for all year. To say it's been a bad year for music this year would be a lie but to say it's been a slower year and one without that "it" factor in comparison would...

State of the Forum: Things I Want to Address

Love you guys! The last three members to post are kind of a generational thing on the forum starting with Vader then to joker to the newest Cadleson. Vader is one of the few to be their from as far back as I can remember and never run out of new bands to pull out the woodwork. Your new music...

    London Grammar (Official Thread)

In the 2,000's the Rock scene even though maligned now by some was my second favorite wave of Rock from the Emo Rock bands with their stellar harmonies like Jimmy Eat World, the New Waveish brilliant Pop Punk of Anberlin, The energizing loud soft dymanic of The Used, Emo bards like Dashboard...

State of the Forum: Things I Want to Address

Always miss you here Sunny but I always know you have a thirst for adventure, travel and getting out to be productive at every chance you can. Any time you drop in has always been cool to see. A lot of people have a shelf life online and abandon places altogether. :)

State of the Forum: Things I Want to Address

Nope. Not leaving. Just addressing some recent issues. Number one being the most recent and sharing some transparency with the rest. I've never been one not to share my thoughts and will always periodically touch bases. May be a boring thing to indulge in popcorn to but I like to open up...

State of the Forum: Things I Want to Address

I don't think it has to be said for most and we're tolerant as Hell with the banter we allow but it you're given unwanted advances and harassing anyone in an unwanted manner, up to and including sexual advances, then we aren't going to be the modern social media, don't know if you're going to...

Sad news: Chris Cornell dead at 52

This may be the first time I had that twinge when I heard a musician died. Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of The Dog and Cornell's solo material may not have been the music I listened to the most but it's the first time someone past where I felt their vibe from my formative music years...

That 70s Guy joins team blue (mods)

Well deserved man! I mean we are essentially getting you to join the free work team  but for someone who's kept their mojo going longer than just about anyone in actively posting and helping out you deserve to stand out. The spam thing is a mess and without a complete system overhaul...

    Rap in Country

As far as blending genres I much prefer how Sturgill blended some Funk and Soul into his music. In Northern NH we have a weird blend of hicks and hipster that form the hybrid of hickster. :heheh: I've found with anyone that listens to Hick-Hop it's the beginning of a trend where we won't agree...

    Oasis VS Smashing Pumpkins?

The Pumpkins but I'd pick the Pumpkins over anyone. I don't hate Oasis but for me they tapered off after the second album. I'm not the biggest Britpop fan either. I like some bands that fall under it but none of them are in my top 20 bands or anything.
