I've had similar issues, but that can only point to the fact that the problem is on their end and not yours. :)

Bear with it, all is well that ends well.

Site was slow this afternoon (a couple of hours ago) and seems even slower tonight --- from a different location, different computer, different OS --- thus it can't be just me.

Slow to load, slow to even be able to click on links.

Not slow as in "it takes minutes to load a page", but when things are normally almost instant to load, tonight the same stuff is taking 5 seconds or more. Not sure if the DB is bogged down, doing backups (which would seem silly at this time of the day/night) or if a snowball has started rolling.

FYI for @Shaggy

Edit: By the way, it seems more localized to this site and not so much any of the sister forums.

Worse now than it was a couple of hours ago. Almost painful to even browse, much less post anything.

Do you have updated your browser lately? Make sure your Adobe Flashplayer and Adobe Shockwave Player is updated to latest version if it is installed. Also you may deactivate your virus software temporary and see wut happens then.
I have sometimes some problems with the site after updating me browsersoftware but it is temporarly and is over within a day or two. Also my anti-virus software don't always like some Google adds. I updated my browser yesterday and this time I have no problems so far. Mostly it is because of some Google adds that gives me some problems, but still temporarly.

Definitely NOT a browser problem. This site was garbage to navigate through yesterday afternoon and much of the evening.

Like I said about 2 posts back, I had issues on two different computers at two different locations (physical locations, not web locations) with two different browsers and two different operating systems. This was verified to me by a couple of users here. Also, it wasn't an internet connection issue becasue the rest of the net was moving along at normal speeds. Even CRF's sister sites were working and responding fine. Definitely localized to CRF.

Also, I just got this (again) as I did a couple of weeks back:

*sigh*

The ONLY site that I see this sort of shit at is here. I don't know if it's because the site is riddled with a bazillion ads (either graphic or randomly inserted text links) or if it's a problem on the server end. It gets annoying, that's for sure.

The site is acting weird. Whenever I try to post or log out I can't log out and nothing shows up when I post. :(

It's a trash pit right now. Posts showing up late, PMs coming in and then not actually being there unless you refresh your browser multiple times. I have seen it log me out and then log me back in (at least in appearance) multiple times.

Cookie issue? something else? I dunno, but it's brutal to be here right now.
