Good news from the Skynyrd camp. The band will return to Europe in June 2019 - exact dates yet to be announced! I travelled to Vienna last time they toured Europe and I am willing to travel to see them one last time!

Gary said recently in an interview that they've played so many places over the years that a true farewell tour would take 10 years. He keeps pushing back against the term retirement.
He says they just aren't going to do long tours after this. He said they may do like the Beatles did and just be a studio band. I think it's like it was with Gregg Allman. The rest of the band is just trying to ease him toward retirement. They probably know how serious his heart issues are.

Here's the UK dates:

With Status Quo as support, that's one hell of a lineup.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 9th November from 9am.

Still waiting for an update on European tour dates outside the UK.

Here's the rest of the dates:

Jun 17: Erfurt Messehalle, Germany (w/Blackberry Smoke)
Jun 18: Berlin Max Schmelinghalle, Germany (w/Blackberry Smoke)
Jun 19: Frankfurt Festhalle, Germany w/Blackberry Smoke)
Jun 21: Dessel Grasspop Metal Meeting, Belgium
Jun 22: Hinwil Rock the Ring, Switzerland

Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackberry Smoke. You can't ask for a better lineup.

I was hoping for a date in Vienna or Munich, as I have connections and places to stay there. Catching them on one of these German dates is tricky.

Wow...40 years ago...I'll always remember finding out...it was so unbelievable especially with Street Survivors just getting released... It took me a while to go out and buy the album...

A couple months ago a local record/cd shop was closing & I actually picked up a best of the Rossington Collins Band CD for only a couple dollars... I only thought they had the one album out which I had & liked a lot so I was surprised to see a best of but I did find out they released two records...

Rossington Collins Band were great live, all surviving members except Artimus Pyle. This image 3 years after the plane crash.Rossington-CollinsBand(11-24-1980(c)BillO'Leary)020.jpg
