Gotta dig TYA!!
Yeah to right they were a great blues/rock boogie band in there time with Alvin Lee being lorded as "The fastest guitar in the west" back in 1969/70. Also they not only played blues/rock boogie but quite often incorporated jazz elements and even some early electronic music into some of there blues/rock numbers like on the album Cricklewood Green from 1970.

I personally have all there albums from Ten Years After in 1967 through to Positive Vibrations in 1975 and everything in between.

Personal favourite album is ROCK & ROLL MUSIC TO THE WORLD which is a great listen from start to finish!!.

I have both RECORDED LIVE & POSITIVE VIBRATIONS cds which are both double cds with both cds containing previously unreleased material although I haven't got around to listening to either cd yet.

As for the album ROCK & ROLL MUSIC TO THE WORLD for some strange reason a number of past music critics don't rate this album which I find strange because I personally rate it as possibly there best album amongst there other works although the CRICKLEWOOD GREEN album is really good as well. ROCK & ROLL MUSIC TO THE WORLD is one of those rare rock albums where every track leads into another great track from the first to the last track, it's a complete listening experience and leaves the listener feeling satisfied by the end of the last track.

A 10/10 album.

I got a copy of the new TEN YEARS AFTER cd A STING IN THE TALE and gave it the once over and it's ok and well recorded with only Rick Lee on drums and Chick Churchill on Hammond organ being present from the original line up that also included Colin 'bomber' Hodgkinson a onetime former member of WHITESNAKE back in the early 1980s and a number of other 'named' bands on bass and a young long haired guy on guitar & vocals who's named Marcus Bonfanti. The music contained within the cd is all blues/rock played at either a slow or medium tempo although I can't recall if there are any up tempo 'rockers' on the cd?.

Not sure what the late Alvin Lee former founding member and leader of TYA would have made of this cd but I suspect he would have gave it the thumbs down!.
