Do you think Sabotage is one of the "great" Black Sabbath albums?

its a supersonic awesome killer of a song...even with Bill Ward in his wife`s tights on the cover....:oyea:

Yeah, that's pretty freaky ...lol. Geezer and Ozzy's attire aren't exactly awe inspiring either ..haha.

Sabotage is massive, Technical Ecstasy is way underrated and Never Say Die is a sleeper that Is better than it is credited to be.

I basically have nothing left to add to this! :oyea:

Oh well, for the record, all the Sabbath albums with Ozzy are essential, but "Sabotage" is not my absolute favourite.

Sabotage is a masterpiece. It's probably my favourite Sabbath album from the Ozzy era together with Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. 'Megalomania' is the most epic Sabbath song ever. True, 'Supertzar' and 'Am I Going Insane' are not that great, but the rest of the songs are so good that I just don't care. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath had 'Fluff' and Vol. 4 had 'Changes', which are subpar if you ask me, and they're still great albums.

It's funny how most people single out 'Supertzar'. Even if it's not that great, I still like it. I say it's funny because I recently made a 'Sabotage Suite' and posted it on YouTube (a medley containing an excerpt of every track in the album in a non-stop mix), and I completely forgot about 'Supertzar':(

I was a bit drunk when I made this thing and honestly just forgot to include it! Shame on me. But oh well, 'The Thrill Of It All' and 'Am I Going Insane' blend together much better without than one in the middle, sooooo... I hope that exonerates me.

He's the video if you guys are curious. I am not trying to promote it or anything, and I don't get any money from making these silly mixes, it's just something that I enjoy. Hope me posting this link doesn't bother the moderators. Long live Sabotage!!

Yeah, the cover is what bothers me the most about this album. After Sabbath Bloody Sabbath's glorious artwork, this just looks silly. They should have hired Drew Struzan a few more times to illustrate their covers.

I actually love the cover, their outfits are fabulous especially Ozzy with his Chinese robes!

Anyways, this album is good but definitely not my favourites. I'd say with the exception of the proto-thrash awesomeness that is Symptom of the Universe, the rest of the album is just "okay" compared to the earlier ones.
