^^I agree and it's nice to see a legendary brand I grew up with still keeping quality as their main goal.

The needle and the wallet...

I was wading through the latest Music Direct catalog [nice BTW with their covers of vintage artists like Dylan, Hendrix, Lennon and currently Jerry Garcia]. There are some cartridges that go up to $2,500. That is some serious paper...

^^I would consider going up to about $1000 and that's it.

I'm happy with my Dynavector, and I think I will order a replacement stylus for my Shure MK IV, I still love the sound of that cartridge so spending $100 or so to extend it's life is an easy decision to make.

Getting Needled...

^Yep, when the time comes my Shure cartridge has to have the needle replaced and that's it. I have to add hiow insane "name" interconnects are too among other gadgets. For example...a PS Audio Noise Harvester for $75 I think. It alledgedly cleans up "noise" in the powerlines. Get that or more LPs for that amount of cash invested? Easy decision methinks.

^^You mean you're going to retire your Shure when it needs a new tip?

In with the new out with the old

Nope... :D Keep the sonic party going. It's like replacing a tire right? Take the old worn out one, get the replacement in and roll on.

Before heading out, I checked my space to see if I can pull the Stats an inch closer. Have the levity so I am going to. If the small increment made a marked difference, maybe it will do so again.
