I personally hold 1975 as one of the greatest years in music history for the sheer number of amazing albums released that their. From Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" to KISS' "Alive!" to Alice Cooper's "Welcome To My Nightmare" to The Boss' "Born To Run" it was just an absolutely stellar year in music that had some of the best work by many of music's finest. Some of the biggest were:

*Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

*T.N.T. - AC/DC

*Welcome to My Nightmare - Alice Cooper

*The Who by Numbers - The Who

*Young Americans - David Bowie

*Toys in the Attic - Aerosmith

*Sabotage - Black Sabbath

*Siren - Roxy Music

*Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin

*A Night at the Opera - Queen

*Minstrel in the Gallery - Jethro Tull

*Hair of the Dog - Nazareth

*Fandango! - ZZ Top

*Face the Music - ELO

*Alive! - Kiss

*Dreamboat Annie - Heart

*Blood on the Tracks - Bob Dylan

*Blow by Blow - Jeff Beck

*Atlantic Crossing - Rod Stewart

*Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy - Elton John

*Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen

*Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac

*Fool for the City - Foghat

*Fly by Night - Rush

*Nuthin' Fancy - Lynyrd Skynyrd

*One of These Nights - Eagles

*Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow - Rainbow

*Rock 'n' Roll - John Lennon

*Slade in Flame - Slade

*Straight Shooter - Bad Company

*Venus and Mars - Paul McCartney & Wings

I tried to hit up everything big but I'm sure I probably forgot something, so feel free to bring up anything I left out. What all do you all love about this year?

The thing that I can appreciate about the 70's (and the 80's, too, for that matter) was that there was absolutely no shortage of great music released each year. Also from 75 (I believe), but not listed above are Ted Nugent's self-titled debut and BTO's Four Wheel Drive.

Some of my favs from '75 listed above are:

The Who by Numbers - The Who

Young Americans - David Bowie

Toys in the Attic - Aerosmith

Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin

Alive! - Kiss

Blow by Blow - Jeff Beck

Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen

Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac

Straight Shooter - Bad Company

My mistake, you're right. The hits carried onto 1975.

*Sigh of relief* If I'd missed my favorite Sweet album then I would've been ashamed of myself. :heheh:
