Gorgeous tune, I think the first side of the 'Pink Moon' album may well be the best opening side to an album ever. :)
Yeah that album is flawless and i'd say my fav from Nick. The other day I was also listening to his mother, Molly Drake and you can the influence she's had on Nicks music.

You guys have inspired me to listen to some Nick Drake, think I'll play Bryter Later first.:)
:cheers2

On a far away island .....
I really love his music. Been listening to Pink Moon every night before bedtime.

Really like this song.

My Mum used to stick the Pink Moon tape on every night to lullaby us three kids to sleep. Always been a fan of Nick's music :)

Must be a coincidence but I played all 3 of Nick's albums a few days ago, then when I went to my favorite used vinyl store on Saturday I saw a brand new pressing of "Pink Moon" on the wall.

I have to pick up my new Genesis copy of Selling England by the Pound later this week so I might end up buying Pink Moon as well.:D

I can imagine a brand new pressing of such a cult album as Pink Moon would set you back a fair few pennies, spend wisely! :)

^^It's about $25.00 which is not that bad. Even if you find a VG+ used copy it might be anywhere from $15 - $20 so for a 'must have' vinyl record I don't mind spending a little brass.:D

Ah that's not too bad then :) I save the big bucks for buying CD's, as I have a rule of paying no more than £8-10 for a vinyl album, depending on condition and if its a single/double/triple LP :)

^^I try not to spend too much on vinyl, and am almost done collecting my favorites now.

I have a simple rule, anything from the 60's-80's almost invariably sounds better on a good quality vinyl record than the CD does, the 90's till now CD's are okay although I do plan on getting a copy of Dream Theater's Metropolis Pt II on vinyl one of these days.;)
