Ill conjure up a few but what are some albums you like that are quite unpopular among the diehard fans of that band?

Most notable is Megadeth Risk. I love that album except maybe one or two songs but its to me a highly enjoyable album. I like the sound on songs like Ill Be There, Insomnia, Crush Em.

Rush Hold Your Fire is not as bad as people told me it was before I heard it which is another album I enjoyed start to finish despite the criticism it copped.

Pink Floyd's Division Bell. I don't think that's too popular.

Judas Priest Rocka Rolla
Crack the Sky's first 4 albums come immediately to mind. I'm sure there are many more.

oh, I totally agree with you. I listened to this the other day on vinyl and I love it and wouldnt change one thing about it. Nobody would ever accuse Ian Hill of being a phenominal bass player but that album has some cool early 70's hippy kinda vibe to it bass-wise.

early to mid 70's REO Speedwagon. Most people associate this band with ballads and high school proms but back in the early days they kicked ass, back when Gary Richrath's guitar was the most prominent part of the music.

A few more that come to mind.

Lacuna Coil Shallow Life - It is radio friendly but whilst it ****** a lot of the diehard fans off I still love it, the music sounds great to me and I don't judge music for simply being mainstream nor should anyone for that matter.

Opeth Heritage - Another album that did draw the ire of many diehard Opeth fans simply for not being death metal. Not all think that but many of the narrow minded ones do. I gave this a chance with an open mind to the fact it would be more 1970s prog centred and I think its a marvellous album. Nothing wrong with disliking it but only if you at least gave it a chance and not simply snubbed it based on others views or simply knowing it would be different.

Black Sabbath Born Again - Album has ordinary production but it doesn't stop me from enjoying what are very good songs. Technical Ecstasy is another. Apart from one poor song the rest are decent enough for rock tunes.
