Limp Bizkit

I agree never liked that name, don't care for Durst and the boys either.

Bands names are important, sort of like a first impression when you meet someone. An interesting name can make the difference between someone picking up your record or just smiling and moving to the next rack.

I think there are terrible band names from every era of music, no decade really is any worse than any other, but I would say the newer metal bands have a lock on the really hard core names, some of which are distasteful in the extreme.

But one man's disgust is another's enjoyment so c'est la vie, c'est la guerre.;)

Already mentioned but I think Hoovastank or whatever is definitely first in line for this 'honor'.

Oh, and how could I forget Chumbawumba? That's right, because apart from the idiotic name they are utterly forgettable.

Hoobastank? Yeah, they're right up there with the worst. :heheh:

I've always thought The Flying Burrito Brothers was a strange name.

Altered Images - 80's New Wave band who had a gorgeous singer. Never made it big though...and I'm convinced it was because of their unmarketable name. They're the ones who did that "Happy Birthday" song...but they actually had a couple of others just as good.

Here's their hit in case you forgot it.

I've always hated Hoobastank myself that's just a terrible moniker.:nw:

Another one comes to mind, "The Foo Fighters"...younger fans have told me how they went about choosing that name, but considering I LIKE this band I find the name completely underwhelming in all aspects.

Flying Burrito Brothers, I don't really mind that name, especially considering some of the key members went on to form "Firefall" when the Burritos imploded.:D

Huh? Oh, ok. I thought you meant the names of the worst bands.

My mistake.
