Re: Led Zeppelin ~ November 2009

Nice trivia questions Snoop....;)

9. False, I am guessing though I admit that much. Although I like Zep, I never bothered memorizing their songs, and I hate to say it but it is harder now to remember everything than it used to be, either the Hard Drive from my neck up is getting full, or there is Too much rubbish getting in the way...:heheh:

Re: Led Zeppelin ~ November 2009

you are correct, LG.........."Thank You" was written for Plants' wife.

Do you know what song does make direct refernce to The Lord of the Rings?

Hint: these are the lyrics:

"T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair
But Gollum and the evil one
Crept up and slipped away with her".

Bonzo on drums,,,and Moby Dick for my stab at the song...lol.

They were one of the first bands to make references to LOTR, if I'm not mistaken, and now there are many bands that have incorporated the mythology of Tolkien into their music, which is fine by me seeing I'm a Huge fan of the books.
