I know I've been away too long when people are bumping up threads from 7 years ago...it only seemed like a couple of weeks, but maybe it was a hell of a lot longer??
Probably needs a poll a question like this, but I'd have to say Genesis, give it to them over Pink Floyd and Zeppelin, as their 70's albums ('Trespass' through to 'And then there were Three') for me have the edge over Led 'Zep III' through to 'In through the Out Door'....and 'Meddle' through to 'The Wall'.

even those people who don't like these groups should be able to figure out why. led zeppelin isn't my favourite band, i've got only 3 of their lps, so that means there is plenty of their stuff i don't like. so i'm not mentioning this band because i love everything they've ever done.
its good to take a step back and view the bands without your personal preferences coming to the fore.[is that a word!?]

Not much love for Lynyrd Skynrd on this forum. The best concert band of the 70's, at least the best that I have ever seen.

Aaaah...ok...I see...yeah when one loves a band it can be a bummer. But we have alot of love for everything here.
